Ah, this poor NY. I followed it a bit on ebay, or maybe I should say it kept popping up, so I started saving the info.
1st round I saw was in Delaware in April 2016 as a complete car, can't remember if running or not, but had some interesting heritage as a dealer car that was used by the family but never titled, so seller had no title. Needed a lot of work but definitely savable. 440HP had single-snorkel but clearly had HP manifolds, equipped with black leather buckets-buddy seats (pretty rare I think, I've only seen a few NY with leather), AC, PWindows, PDisc, PSeats (both), headrests (both) and Flow-thru ventilation. Has some trunk rust and possibly around back window, and is cosmetically pretty rough all over, but very nicely optioned and in a great color (turbine bronze?)
sold Apr 2016 in DE for 3600 (by seller described above)
relisted, sold again in May for 2900 (same seller)
relisted, sold again in June for 2500 (same seller) but is now NOM with a 75 440 (and seller notes this)
pops up again in Dec 2016 in FL by different seller, now with a title, and listed as a 375hp engine. I asked the seller if they could confirm that, never got a reply (go figure!). Sold for 2501.
6 mos later:
June 2017 it pops up in Lagrange, GA, as a roller, and bids to $560 but no sale. (elijahcars is the seller's ebay name)
A 'question to seller' has a parts inquiry, and seller says if car doesn't sell it'll be getting repaired for driving.
Now located in West Point GA, CL shows seller's name as Dan, and car is still a roller and missing front seats. Pics are the same as last auction. Same seller? Who knows.
The initial seller might have the original engine in his Delaware garage for all we know...
Sad that it happened to such an interesting car but wasn't in good enough condition to stay afloat.
