If I had the extra money, more time, extra space and was in the market for another car I'd go buy this one immediately for a little less money.

Good question but really he can think what he wants about his heads, I love the car.

The porting, valve size and combustion chamber sizes can vary depending on the application.

Most car motor-heads will not use them since they tend to reduce HP if they bolt them straight onto a car block.

The trick is to match up the camshafts/carbs/intake to make more torque above producing more HP's

With some applications, the engine actually rotates in reverse of a std engine for counter twin screw propellors

So, hypothetically, what number would you put on it as a buyer?

Don't 300 come with 440's as standard equipment? Why would the owner need to add a 4 bbl then?....

A lot of the 4 door 300 were basically a different trim level on a newport so the 440 would be optional. Its definatly a nice car.
Without seeing it in person I would think 4500-5000

Agreed Dave, if I were a serious buyer I would be very happy spending under 5K for this one. I actually prefer the four door hardtop for the '67/8 300s over the coupe because of its gorgeous roofline.

Well, unless it has some major undisclosed rust issues, I'd say this is a fair price. These car are going up in value including our own.

You could not buy one that needed paint & body work and walk away for the same money...
Too bad there are no under the hood or under belly pictures..

It's back on CL with more information, I would love to hear the stories the owner has to tell about owning this car half his life.
