Cool idea but way wrong color for that car. It would be great if it went back to the original Gold. Or any subtle color. Just not Mopar snot green!

Not sure if he ever joined here but that's Ian's car. He's a member on the Drydock. He lives in Santa Barbara.

I spy with my little eye the automatic shift quadrant above the steering column - perhaps if this is a true four speed car the little cover (like on mine & also used in console automatics) that hides the shift quadrant markings is missing?

Just an observation...

First off: Please email me your phone number if interested. I will not respond to emails without phone numbers, to reduce the potential of scammers. Emails without phone numbers will be ignored and deleted. Thanks for understanding.

I am considering selling all of my Mopar stuff in one fell swoop so I'm throwing this out here... My collection is dedicated to the 1968 C-body, and includes my 1968 Chrysler 300 that I have converted to a 4-speed manual. The car is still a project but it can be enjoyed since it runs and drives!

I have a TON of (or more) spare parts but I'll start with what's on the car...

Running Gear:
1968 440, original bore, re-ringed, new bearings, STEALTH Aluminum heads with mild port work, Edelbrock intake and HP C-body exhaust manifolds, and a Holley 750 DP on top. 3" exhaust all the way back.

A-833 4-speed from a B-Body, date stamped 1969 (IIRC). New bearings and synchros. Hurst Competition Plus shifter and B-body handle, McCleod clutch and flywheel kit and another set and a half of C-body 4-speed pedals.

3.55 Sure Grip, rebuilt with new gears

Factory 1973 C-body disks up front, all rebuilt 10 years ago with low miles on them. All new steering components and ball joints were installed at the same time and everything has only a few thousand miles on it.

Suspension:
Just Suspension tubular upper A-arms. These were one of the first 10 sets that Just Suspension made back in 2008 or so. Thick 1.125" Torsion bars, reinforced lower control arms, 1.125" front anti-sway bar all from Firm Feel Suspension in Washington state.

Rear springs are from a lower mile C-body, have new bushings in them and aren't saggy.

Cragar Eliminator wheels, 17X8" with 255/50/17" tires.

Misc. stuff:
Spare 3.23 SG third member, an open rear or two, 906 heads, Mopar M1 aluminum intake, four rust free rear quarter panels, some spare doors, hoods, trunk lids, front bumper, a sub-frame, spare glass for every glass piece, lots of mirrors, three spare 300 grilles, have rocker trim, all emblems and multiples of each piece,a tilt/tele steering column, power window parts, wires, switches, spare wire harnesses, dashboards, dash parts, tail lights, interior lights, kick panels, misc. interior trim, Cop wheels, another set of 1973 disk brake spindles, a boat load of small parts, and big parts...

I don't WANT to sell but I feel that I don't have the time for this car anymore, with several others that need my attention and a newborn baby. This is a 20 year collection of parts that I'd prefer not to try and part out. If you sold everything piecemeal, you could make some money and keep whatever you want to subsidize what could be a kickass car when it's fixed up right.

Bring a U-haul or make several trips with a pickup or van for all of the spare parts. If you live nearby, I can help move parts.

OMG what were they thinking?

I imagine that when he cleaned up the engine bay while the engine was out, it was painted to what the overall color of the car would be.
Smart move, horrible choice.

And it USED to have a/c. :BangHead:

I'd rather pay top dollar for a really nice car and do the conversion myself. Properly.

Naa I think they gave up, decided Cuda green wasn't going to attract the a/b/e crowd so slam it black for the whatever crowd that is, don't bother to finish the 4spd carpet hack job, throw some whatever you got mismatched plug wires that are laying around, jury rig the wiring, and hope whatever sucker that buys this doesn't end up bug splat on some highway abutment because the stretched out throttle return spring gave up the ghost.

:realcrazy:
