I am looking to buy a set (new or used) fo Magnum 500 wheels. What to I need to know? The front has DISC BRAKES and the rear has fender skirts. Is the following correct: 15 x 7, 4 on 5 1/2 with 4.25 back spacing?

That is what was on my 68 300. The 300 I have now has 14" magnum 500's, this one has drum brakes.

the original magnum 500's were 14 inch and won't work with discs...newer reproduction ones come in 15's so this might limit the ability to find used ones....5 on 4 1/2, which i'm sure is what you meant to type

Looks like Magnum 500's are a no-go with Budds:

If you have a 440, you got 15" wheels standard I believe. Mine had 15s and I found a 15" Vintique (Magnum 500 knock off) wheel that works. Required spacers to move them out from the disc calipers on the front.

My 68 300 has 440, came with 14" magnums. It has 4 wheel drum.

Following this thread.
I have the 15 inch Wheel Vintiques on the drum brake Newport.
Was thinking swapping them onto my Budd disc brake 67 Monaco.

All 67 and 68 300's only came with 440
Drum brakes had 14" wheels. If you ordered disc brakes they came with 15" wheels and hubcaps that stated disc brakes. There were no 15" magnum wheels available for chrysler 67-68.

I think according to the sales broshure, 68 was the first year they were offered on the 300. 14" for drum and 15" on disc brake.

First year what was offered?? 15" magnums??
67 first year Chrysler offered Magnum 500 full chrome but only in 14 inch.
Optional on all models including 300.
Yes I had seen a few 68 300 born with the 14 inch Magnums.
Either the dealer or owner checked the right box.

Later on Ma had a road wheel similar to a Magnum but chrome only on spokes and has a trim ring.
Again only in 14 inch.

Ford did offer a 15 inch Magnum 500 as an option on 1969 Boss Mustangs.

Although " not correct" yet look " factory stock" I went with 15 inch Magnums on my drum brake Newport.
