I have this Newport that I am restoring and I want something different for a paint job. Right now it is white with a red interior. I was thinking maybe a two tone paint. What do ya'll think? What colors would be good. Where on the body lines would the two tone paint look good. Any imput would be appreciated.

Coupe or 4 door? I just got a lot of nice parts from a '68 New Yorker if you're looking for anything.
I think a conservative two shades of the same color would look good on these slabs with the divisions being the upper and lower body lines. You're limited on exterior colors by your red interior though. I'm thinking black overall with a dark metallic charcoal in between the body lines.

Red interior = either black (preferably) or white depending upon the straightness of the body.

Two tone is not my taste but it's your car.

Black/silver or dark charcoal/ silver. They'll complain that it's not correct but they'll have to admit it looks awesome.....

Awesome in a buicky kinda way? ;)
Yep.
And Oldsmobile too..

Thanks for the replies. I could change the interior color also. I don't care if it's not original, I just want something different than basic white.

That's what I was thinking but I figured the verbal would do.

Just about any 2 tone combo can work with a white or black interior.

I would stick to the white w/red interior. With the right wheel/ tire combination, and stance it could look sweet.

Yep, I'd be happy with that!

Thanks 68Nwprt, now I'm really at a delema. Your Newport looks awsome. Maybe I'll keep it just like that. That is exactly the same Newport as mine. Damn that's beutiful. This is going on my desktop for sure.

It's not mine, I have a 68 coupe. The pictures come from ebay a few months back. I believe it was in Lakeland FL. Whatever you choose, just take your time and I'm sure it will turn out just fine.
