I have too many projects and have decided I need to turn loose of this one.
Rare 1968 Newport convertible. Originally a 383 h.p. but now has a 440. Original exhaust manifolds are still present and i have put a dual snorkel air cleaner back on it. Motor runs pretty good. Starts with a key and runs out of the original gas tank. Transmission seems to work good. Brakes work but are soft. Not too far from being a dependable driver.
The body is very straight with no rust. The floors are very solid and clean. Anyone that has ever been around a convertible normally knows the floors are rotten.
Body has minor bumps and dents. Nothing major or that would need to be replaced. All the original hard to find sportgrain trim is there and is in pretty decent shape. There are a few miscellaneous items in the trunk that are included.
The interior is all there but needs redone. The bucket seats are very decent useable cores. Car was equipped with a/c and is all complete. Original am/fm stereo is included. Convertible top needs some attention. It is complete but does not at the moment go up or down by itself.
