Want this coolant reservoir to "complete the look" under my hood (versus function).

The bootle looks like the one in this picture and fastens to the Radiator support with a clip such as shown in the other photo. Thank you! Overflow Bottle.jpgClip.jpg

You can by those on the net. That isn't original to the car. but they are handy in the hotter climates. My 70' has one like it, but 68's didn't.

I believe that is an aftermarket bottle.

I may be wrong, but I don't believe there was an overflow bottle on any of the 68's.

There is a really rich guy that designed that tank in Phoenix in 1969. The manufacturers didn't even come up with it. His family is set for life for the patent rights.

Thank you for the information. That makes sense. My 68 Newport has been a Colorado car until I brought it back to Illinois as the 2nd owner. The bracket mounting hardware does look suspect with regard to the type fastners that the manufactures typically use. If anyone has one or sees one of this specific overflow bottle I would like to have it anyway. Thank you all. I appreciate all the good info. :)

I added an after market chrome overflow on my 67 plym. 111. I am 2nd. owner and car is original and did not have a overflow system when I got the car 32 yrs. ago with only 28 thousand miles.
hope this helps.

You must have a 22" rad, and no A/C then, looks good! Thanks for posting up the pics.

I know on my 68 T/C wagon I do not have that much room due to the big rad and the A/C lines running through the rad support.
