Interesting car with a 3spd manual transmission, shame it's a 4dr.

Very nice 1968 Plymouth Fury 318 with a 3 on the tree manual transmission. Runs and drives great. Transmission is currently stuck in 3 gear. Needs work on column. New tires new exhaust.

$4000? I don’t think I’ll ever get use to the new prices people think cars are worth. Am I wrong thinking that’s a $1500-$2000 car???

Yeaaaa I really didn't think of the price just that it was a pedal car but "runs & drives great" with it being stuck in 3rd gear with column problems is a major haggle point (+ also it's a 4dr <ducks>)

Anybody that's ever drove a 3 on the tree for any length of time has had that happen numerous times and would have it unlocked in 2 minutes. It needs the shifter tightened up at the end of the column.

Being that it's been listed for 14 weeks a $1500 dollar offer just might buy it. Asking prices are high so just offer what you think a car is worth and see what happens.

If it's that easy why doesn't the seller FIX IT? I'm well aware of column shifting problems with Ford pickup trucks. One job I got to lay eyes on was a Ford pickup with the whole side of the cast iron case transmission all blown out. Seems the driver got mad when he was sitting at a stoplight on a hill none the less and the transmission got into reverse and another gear when he was madly trying to find 1st. He just revved it and popped the clutch blowing everything out the side. Funny thing he said about it after he rolled back to the side of the road and waiting for a tow truck was watching all the other cars doing serious burnouts trying to get up the hill when the light turned green because of all the 90wt puked out on the road. Then there was the drunken Scotsman at the Social Club I belonged to that got enraged when I said no to converting his PU to a floor shifter... He wouldn't let it go and eventually got him banned from the club. <smh>

Yeah, there's a ballad about that guy. Clad in kilt, I think he was.

As for the car, yeah, that's $2000 if it runs/drives well (aside from the shifter).
And it kinda looks like it does.
Would be cool to convert it to an OD 833 and 3.91 gears.

Some people ordered them like that. High trim, but low on options. Air conditioning in eastern Colorado is a very good idea - it can get miserably hot out on the plains!
