Looks rock solid and I would say that's a fair asking price but I can be a sucker for a more door hdtp.
Welcome is in order for the lurker, from the Motor City of course!

Welcome! A four door will never be as valuable as a two door, but I don't care.

Any thoughts on this with respect to the value of restoring a 4 door rather than a 2 door?
Moot point.
You'll never get your money back restoring any C-body.
2dr, 4dr, wagon, 'vert... Makes no difference. You'll be upside down on that car forever after the first fill up.

FWIW, what he's asking for that car is 2dr money.

Interesting, are those cornering lights on the fenders the same as in 1970? I thought the '69 fenders only had reflectors.

If everythins is as stated and just needs costemic clean up and maintinance its worth a call or wait awhile to see if the price comes down to $4500. My Uncle had a '70 300 in the 1970's in the same color and it reminds me alot of that car.

Thanks everyone for your opinions.

I too agree the c-bodies represent a non-collectible segment for restoration. Those of us who like them do it because they make us happy, not for any residual value that might, but most likely won't occur.

I've always known that in the traditional restoration market, 2 doors beat 4 doors any day. I asked the question here because you guys are dedicated c-body fans and wanted to hear the answer from you all. And as I thought, the answer is "if you like it, go for it".

My dad had a white 69 300 4 door with the same interior as this yellow one in Houston. He also had a 70 New Yorker in this yellow color with a green "alligator" vinyl roof. I had a 69 300 2 door that was bronze, white interior, and white vinyl roof. So this 69 yellow 4 door in Houston holds a lot of appeal on many levels.

Now I just need to make the time to run over to Houston and inspect this one up close and personal.

Thanks again for everyone's help. Alex.

My father had a triple dark green 71 300 4 dr, so I have a soft spot for the 4 dr 300s.

69 Sport Fury and VIP had Cornering lights as optional so I would assume 300's did as well.

I don't think you'll find anyone complaining about a 4dr HDTP.
