I don't know, but how does the price of LP compare to gasoline in Europe? I'm pretty sure LP is more available for vehicles there than here, just don't know the price comparison, although I've seen a lot more conversions on the cars in Europe.

Regular fuel is about 4,60 us$ per gallon in Germany and the rest of Europe and autogas is about a third... So it does make sense, but if you decide to have this hobby, than you also decide to deal with the gas consumption

I understand the tax on LPG is a lot less there too. . .

I really like the appearance of that car - nice colors, nice stance and even the aftermarket wheels seem to fit the image he was intending to create very well, although I personally would change them to the recall ones. A very nice driver that isn't so perfect that you wouldn't want to drive it every day. Very nice.

out of my head: It has mostly original paint and some patina.
Nice car and reliable.
Jack owns it since many years.

Gasoline is even more expensive in the netherlands than in germany.
LPG is slightly cheaper than in germany. And available at nearly every regular gas station in NL. So no hassle to get it.

A lot of Mopar friends exspecially C-body owners drive/drove their cars on LPG in NL

is it easy to convert it back to regular fuel ?
does the engine get harmed by longer usage of LPG ?

it burns hotter and the valve seats will get damage if they are not hardened.
Carburator dries out and will leak gasoline.
It is possible to convert it back but usually will cost some money/work

Okay thanks for the info, so do you know wether the owner prepared the engine to for this kind of stress?
If not it's just a matter of time until it breaks down

The last LPG system I had installed back in 2000 or so started on gasoline then automatically changed to gas.

The idea was to run on gasoline at least once a month for 100 km or so to keep the fuel lines in order.

Systems have no doubt improved since then. If US gas was $8.00 a gallon like the rest of us pay, LPG and Diesel would be more popular for you in the US.

No way , these engine parts are not made of paper.!! you think the owner drove thousands of kilometers with it.........??
These are hobby cars.
A lot of guys put in a lpg gas installation because they hate it paying 150,- euros for a full tank of gasoline , it feels better paying 65,- euro for a full tank of lpg gas.

yeah I know the fuel consumption is outreageous if you compare it with modern cars, but for me it´s part of the hobby, so it´s a self-made problem I knew about before I bought my car...
I would never throw a LPG tank in the trunk of my car

Plus you could buy a lot of regular gas for that amount of money that it takes to buy and install the whole LPG system..

If some one would like to buy the car without the lpg, I could use the lpg installation for the 67 imperial I just bought here in the Netherlands ;-)

in fact it does not worth it.
The installation of LPG ( LP ? ) costs a lot and is a real pain with papers or with laws, you never have the correct vesion of the valve, or the tank is not safety enough and thing like that.. when it is not the whole thing that has not been pulgged on the car with hammer.. Ok LPG is cheaper but is does not worth it anymore. Back in the years ok it was 0,19€ /liter but now it is much more expensive.
You always have troubles with the vehicule inspection ( there is always a new law or norm you did not heard of ).

1 liter of SP98 is 1,5€ here in france.
Gallon is 3,7 liters so it is 6,66€ so 8,18$...

Is it woth it if you drive very often. GPL installation is around 3000e.
And a lot of us drive our cars only in week ends for small distances.
