Another four door luxury car with PepBoys exhaust tips.
The next owner will install a Summit chrome air cleaner on it.

All seats and carpets redone after 40k miles. I wonder how many of the 5digit mileage cars actually had the odo completely rolled over at least once. Used to have a couple of documented low mileage cars but never problems with considerably worn upholstery or carpeting.

The pedals and the dash switches are your truth tellers. Inspect those and you'll find the truth

Age is hurting the interior of a 40+ year-old car more than mileage. There's no way to tell for sure without a 1st hand inspection, but I'd say the mileage given is probably legitimate based on what I "can" see from the pics.

I'd have probably made them an inch or so shorter. But depending on what mufflers it's running, those tips might cut down on the drone quite a bit installed the way they are. May very well be the perfect combo for that ride. No obvious problem there.

Of course, I'm not simply judging it by sight alone.

Mileage really doesn't always tell the story. My NY'er had 41,000 miles on it when I got it almost 2 years ago. The problem was that it sat, and I mean sat, outside for decades without being driven or maintained. I have all of the safety issues fixed except the wipers...which I'm going to replace with an entire 74-77 system. I've given up trying to find a 78 wiper cam. EFF you... part number 3799 183!!! I'll eventually repair or fix everything. I'm just not in a hurry up mode anymore. I drive it just about every day. I have 48,000 miles on her now.

I'm very quick to judge. It's then up to the individual(s) to prove otherwise...

If both ran out of gas and were by the side of the road, who of the two would you help?

Just out of curiosity, what were the other issues that you had to get squared away?? My car had sat on and off as well before I found it, for about 10 yrs or so (the previous owner died in 98 or 99). My first test drive told me I needed to immediately go through brakes, and do some front end suspension parts replaced...

Ya think? As far as your humorous pictures are concerned, claiming some extended analogy to the comment about the exhaust tips escapes me. I explained why the tips may very well be legitimate.

Done, see above. You explain nothing except a penchant for the posting irrelevant pictures.
I keep that picture on file because it keeps me grounded knowing it's the rest of the world that's F****D up and not me.
Hmmmm, Interesting. People of good will recognize what others may see in a particular example, even if they don't prefer it themselves. But there are always some who will interject the fact they don't like something based solely on their personal opinion. It doesn't add to the discussion in a positive way, but that's just human nature.

When the rest of the world is F****D up, of course!

Do me a favor, please. Ignore anything I write and refrain on replying to it and I will do the same for you. OK.

If you're proud of this along with your resonance reducing tips, then I choose that we avoid each other altogether.
(Warning: Irrelevant picture ahead)

You bet! Cost me nothing but some oxy-acetylene and scrap sheet to weld up a better flowing, better sounding crossover than you could pay money for. Not to mention original tailpipes that will never fall down, even if they they rust completely through before I decide to replace them.

But you can't see that can you?

Thanks for your uninformed input! OBTW, I'll respond to any post I feel like.

You good with that, Stanny boy?

The links to that and a whole bunch of custom mod pics that make your luxo- barge look like a piece-o-crap are in my sig.
