Hello All - I appreciate all the help I have gotten thus far from everyone. The 1969 Imperial I purchased from Canada a few months ago is already in Paint here in Florida. The car is coming along nicely!
Question: The former owner lost/misplaced the Trim Tag that was located on the radiator Frame where I was told to look for it. I am trying to find the "SO" sequential Order stamp so that I can give to MMC Detroit to get another Trim tag that is correct for my vehicle and install it. Can anyone guide me to where I am find these identifying stamps? Appreciate you all.

Have you looked for the Build Sheet for the car? Usually under the zig-zag springs of the rear seat bottom or top "lean back"? Not sure about Imperials.

In 69 you will find the VIN stamped in the cowl left side and the trunk gutter rail (under the weatherstrip) left side near the hinge.
In 69 the SO number is not on the body. Found on the broadcast sheet, window sticker, data tag.

Please understand that what was coded, when it was coded and even where on the tag something was coded changed year to year, plant to plant and even within the model year.

If you do not have a broadcast sheet, window sticker or other factory documents to back up info required to reproduce a tag, it will be exceedingly difficult or impossible to have an accurate tag.

Signed,

Someone not charging you $450 for a tag.
Someone that has seen MMCs work.
Someone that has seen people get ripped off by tag vendors.
Someone that has had to explain to people why their fresh minty tag made by a recommended vendor was incorrect for their car.

Be cautious. Be careful before sending money.

Broadcast sheet can be located in numerous locations.
Taped to back of glove box.
Bottoms and tops of both front and rear seats.
Under the carpet.
In the headliner. (not common)
Between the gas tank and the sound deadening mat (not common)
