Here's one to watch, $25k+ with 87 bids? My bet the auction goes tit's up.

7***r bid history:

Seems most of jeepsterjims sales are in the coin business, maybe someones pissed off at him.

Looks like we were posting this car at the same time.
Not Mine belongs in the Not Mine section. :poke:

Seriously I just thought the bid was right up there but then I saw 87 bids and had to have a look at the bid history to see what was going on.
With this one bidder with almost 5,000 bids in a 30 day period I smell a shill bidder.

I didn't look at the bid history until just now. Keep in mind that if the high bidder put in a high number like $27,000 to begin with every time someone else bid less it would push his bid up and those could all be automatic bids.

After looking at the photos, $25K wasn't making any sense. It's a decent car with a nice paint job, but it's a bit lacking in the finer details, especially the dash. It needs the bumpers rechromed, plus it's a low option car on top of it.

s***u is obviously a shill bidder, with 100% of his bids on cars for sale by this dealer. You have to go back to the early days of ebay to find such a blatant shill.

t***e is a tire kicker that gets his thrills out of bidding on vehicles then cancelling before the auction ends, with 158 retractions in the last 12 months.

It looks like the legitimate bidding ended at $11,500 and that bidder is probably a dealer, looking at his bid history.

Nice looking car, but engine bay has the GM treatment (even the hood has been painted black). Time and money to make it right. Plymouth script missing from hood and decklid. Too much for a low option car, lacking in details.

1***4 (198) has the auto bids on, 1***s (409) is a auto bidder and at the top bidder spot right now, 7***r (525) auto bid went off at $6,495.00 and now he's nibbling (same as a shill in my book) and he was in the auction on day one. This guy p***8 (0) with zero feedback maybe the one that really wants the car as all his other bids are pure Mopar with many of the others bidders bidding on a variety of cars. I mean who bids on 374 items in a 30 day period. Probably a bunch of dealers fighting over it as someone may be calling around looking a car like this. Or someones throwing spaghetti at the wall I guess.

That ain't the way I bid on stuff on eBay, I search, check my prices with the completed sales search, never add to my watch what I'm going to bid on only add similar items that are a more expensive BIN price, bookmark what I want to bid on, and when it gets down to end of auction sync my computer clock with eBay time and snipe away.

I was going to say where'da engine pics as I only looked at the top ones, so scrolled down did I...
Yea I ain't too excited with the Electrolux treatment of the hoses. But Hey! It's got headers, that's gotta be 10 grand to put 'dem feckers in.

Ebay is turning into a joke. No teeth to anything. Half the time you sell a car on there the "buyer" doesn't pay. Notice the lack of cars listed on Ebay? People are going elsewhere, not the mention it is pretty expensive to sell a car on there.

Yea I use to be up on the eekBay funny business of nibblers, shills, penny positives, and other such foolishness to game eBay, use to read the help forums and other off site forums but things have changed much since then. I just had another quick look through the bid history and I surmise that there were a couple of bonafide Mopar Enthusiasts on the first day and when bidding got around the 6/8 grand area it sky rocketed. I didn't see the auction on the first day and don't know if this one had a reserve but the silly bids started on the second day with the final (87th) bid being the suspected dealer shill mentioned before. Odd too is that he's a pretty high seller and been on eBay since 1999 and has only 1 neutral in the past 12 months. Funny thou, he's close to me but I've never heard of him in the 30+ years living here in Daytona, seems to have a shop more along "The Guild" type of shop up in Canada and the background foliage in the pictures appear to be correct for the central Florida, Bahia grass, Palmetto Palms, Live Oaks with Spanish Moss, etc. although he claims to be in North East Florida I wouldn't consider his address as that, more like East Central Florida.

But we'll see if the cars shows up again on eekBay or elsewhere, my bet is... (gets out the crystal ball & and makes Swami noises) soon to appear on a Mecum Auction.

(edit) ooops forgot to add the final outcome.

I saw this when I was searching for the latest eekBay scams & shysters, most of what I found was the usual, usual, my head was just about to explode from all the fast talking poster videos, I guess they're all excited about posting up some eekBay PSA. Most is just common sense and basic eBay rules like being directed outside eBay to complete the sale and a seller getting ripped via PayPal. yada yada yada...

This one is the closest one I found that could possibly related to this bidding, but you got to pay attention it's very X-File'y, take note of the whiteboard.:p

I agree that 69 Fury auction is way too fishy to get involved in...funny how a car gets 87 bids one week & the next week...exactly zero.

If it had a decent dash & a white interior it might get in the 12-15K range.
