I remember seeing this episode when it was on tv. For all of the stuff they did to those two "consumer" Fury IIIs, the results seemed underwhelming to me. Plus, it seemed that the hype about the contestants' driving skills did not appear to result in getting the full potential out of the cars. A neat concept, but not the results that might have been, to me.
It might have been a somewhat mis-match of components in what they "upgraded" to? Even some popular mods need to fit into a combination situation to receive optimal resuilts, rather than just "bolt on and go".
But, when compared to some of the "Car and Track" videos on YouTube, I guess their results were a bit better than they appeared?
