I have a 1969 Plymouth Fury III 2 door hardtop. I need to replace the headliner. The original was in very poor condition. I did get a replacement online however it does not look correct. The dealer sent extra material for the sail panels in the back. I am sure the original was one large piece that went down to cover the sail panels. I called the supplier and they are telling me that the material is to cover the (cardboard) inserts I have for the sail panels. However the (cardboard) sail panel inserts I have look like they never had any adhesive or material on them. If anyone has a picture of their 69 fury or knowledge about this please advise. Thanks

Can't speak accurately to a 69, but on a 65 the sail panels are covered independently/separately as the supplier stated.

Glad you asked! I was just about to post the same question as I need one as well for my 69 Fury 1 2 dr. My sail panels are pretty much junk so Ill have to try and find some better/new ones.

This will either help or confuse you even more:

'67 Newport headliner, windlace, and trim | For C Bodies Only Classic Mopar Forum

On my 4DSD, the sail panels mount to the roof frame and the the headliner stretches over them. The headliner and sail panels are all one unit made up of sewn together sections.

As I've stated before, I know nothing of Fuselage era cars.

Hopefully you find something useful in the link provided.

I have emailed a member who has a 69 Fury and he is going to take some pictures for me. I will post when he gets back with me.

A member was kind enough to send me a picture of his 69 Plymouth fury so the question has been answered. Thanks everyone.
