A 1969 Polara 2dr hardtop just went up for sale in Florida three days ago -- see here. From the ad:

"383 motor car needs restoration but that 383 is nice (...)"

Given the condition, it seems somewhat overpriced at $4.5k, but it has all the special 500 trim intact (AFAICT) and it sports a woodgrain wheel. Poor DM23G9R209590 -- so for the right person, it might be worth it. I have no idea what Monaco taillights are doing on the car, or who thought adding a rear spoiler was a great idea

Looks like it lived a decently charmed life until not so long ago. Probably belonged to some NASA engineer in Cape Canaveral, hence the funky spoiler. Totally old man, functional ugly! Without the usual, garish, Mopar Muscle aspirations. Some Newton probably had this thing in a wind tunnel with all kinds of formulas and calculations!

i have two others (69's, but not "500" models) and could make ONE good one.

two impediments for me:

1. I am not taking on any more projects (that i'd have to pay people for the work) this size -- NOT at an acqiusition price anywhere near what this seller wants. its ok, people can ask for whatever they want, but i surmise can't get this for what I want to be in it for -- best I don't waste anybody's time.

2. everything visible/hidden underneath lMIGHT look like this? heck, there's metal tearing up cuz its fused to the carpet.

really too much work, for me, at any acquisition price for that matter .. though I would buy/transport it just to get it indoors for preservation purposes.

i also hope somebody can grab it before it gets recycled .. by the "junk man", or by "Mother Nature".

There's still good things here for the right buyer...

What's up with all the cocaine all over the ground?
Git yer mind out of the gutter.... dat's 'Sugar Sand'.

If the location on the FB map is correct and it's in a State Park it appears to me to be at one of these 'Camps' that you could own via a lease(?) program. I think I read in the news that they were trying to do away with these old time Florida shacks in the state parks as people weren't keeping them up or the enviro-wacko's are behind it, maybe why this car is for sale.

The asking price is down to $2.5k. Here is more info from the revised ad:

"Selling for neighbor 4962 SW 125th Pl Webster FL 33597 he has no phone and trying to pay house taxes. I’m tired of middle man now. Sorry see VIN plate for 383 rear end and trans info"

I've got a feeling folks are calling to part out this poor Dodge.

That dude's been sitting in that spot for awhile - it'll hold some surprises for sure.

Even the big tooba-looba exhaust tip is rusted thru.

air in the tires and 15 minutes with a pressure washer might save this cars life.
