Was the normal 440 available in that model? Possibly only the 440HP.

Beautiful car 69Monaco.

So all factory 440s in '69 are L code cars. Thanks

No.

The L codes designation is for 440 High Performance engine in 1969. It would be a Magnum engine in a Dodge. As an option on a convertible likely less than 5% of total production.

I believe you could order a standard 440, or 440HP in a Polara convertible.

I do not think the engine option, and option production numbers are known for convertibles in 1969 for Dodge.

Cool, very good, help me out.

So, from the 573 Polara 500 Convertibles built. Can you break down the production numbers based on engine options?

Thanks!

I got my data book out.

I stand corrected.

Here’s the data.

Apparently, the K code 350 hp engine was a “wagon” engine only in Polara and Monaco for 1969.

So for your 69 Polara 500 Convertible:

318 2bbl
383 2bbl
383 4bbl
440 4bbl HP

Thanks for the input.

But it also says 3.31 axle ratio with the 4 speed manual ...

Hard to say one is untrue and the other absolute.
