I have a feeling it might be as rusty as one might first think. it would have to rust from inside out as most Oklahoma cars I have seen are pretty dry underneath and in the quarters and it seems to have more sun bake than anything to the body. It might be scary on the pans if the top was gone a LONG time but might not be as bad as you would think.

Bucket seat console car!

Another CL seller who couldn't wait to unload the car before putting the ad on.

Yes, it's rough... But when all the termites & other stuff have been vacuumed out, it could be another car.

This certainly goes to category "Save it".

Where was that '69 Fury 318 hardtop for sale located at? Put the two together, and you'll have a nice B5 blue car. Much like here!

That hardtop has good fenders, door skins, grille, valances, bumpers, and more, IIRC.

I'm out.

Adding in the ad details and further pix for reference:

"1969 Plymouth Sport Fury Convertible. Been sitting for years, has original 440 motor and 727 Torque Flight tranny. Bucket seats, console with floor shifter. 8 3/4 rear end.

For more info call Carl, 918-408-4125"

Things like this make me wonder.....how in the hell do you have a car like this and let it get in this condition??

Just "fix it up some day" long enough.

Oh, that is simple. The car gets used and then for whatever reason it is put out to pasture in the mid to late 70's to rot away as normally done. All of a sudden, after the turn of the century, crazies like us pop up and salivate over these cars. The owner then realizes it was a good thing he didn't just scrap it as he now has a gold mine because he still sees the car the way it was when put out to pasture.

wet carpets and seat foam along with torn portawalls kill it for me
