The fuselage coupes seem to have run out in the US, but a few pop up in Canada once in a while:

"fully loaded - still excellent running car - 440 engine -power steering - brakes - windows - seats - trunk release - headlight sentinel - tilt-telescopic wheel - rear seat heat - am-8 track - beautiful car for restoration - always kept inside."

There are no pictures in the ad. Pretty far up in the north, but very interesting options, including the very rare rear seat heater.
Does anybody here know anything about this car?

First I've even heard of that option. Matter of fact I hadn't even heard of front seat heat .. since I've been here reading ads. How many front seat heat have you guys run across .. extremely rare or just not common as far as luxury options go. I mean do a lot of the loaded cars have at least front seat heat?

I think the ad means, that the car has the rear window deffogger connected to the heaterbox up front. It's a factory option, but a rare option anyhow.

Every car made had front seat heat unless it was heater delete. As far as Rear seat heat?, I think it was more common in the 4 door models. I've perused the pages of the fsm for my car and the rear heat and ac looks like a nightmare of plumbing running from front to back and back to front again.

I read on the other forum, that it really is a nightmare. It was said, that the system leaks all the time unless all the plumbing is replaced. But I find it kind of intriguing... not a big deal, really. And the rest of those options seem to fill most of the boxes in my list. It's not a New Yorker, but it's well optioned. It doesn't say whether it has the floor shifter or not, though. - I think I will find out.

It is a nicely optioned car and I'd love to see it. Let us know what you find.

I had a 73 Imperial two door model that had the rear seat heat option. Nothing very complex about it really, and kind of a neat option. The car sold to the Netherlands. Triple white car that the new owner made perfect.

the ad is written in crude german and it is posted on a german homepage. The sellers address is supposed to be a Town called Oberhausen which is a neighbour town of mine.
The car shows dutch liscense plates though

The person I sold it to asked me to help him write an Ebay listing for him because he has ended up in a divorce situation. I told him I would help, but then he decided to see if he could hold on to it someway. Maybe he ended up selling it to someone who will now flip it? Don't know, but divorce is always problematic it seems and he seemed pretty stressed out. I know how much he loved that car - that is all I know for sure. Too bad.
