I saw that one last night and was wondering how the driver seat gets to look that bad with only some 78K miles on it and the rest of the car looks better than most, with even the decklid not all that warped. I also wonder whether it has auto temp?

Your next car?

Passenger side seems to be a bit better, but also is a bit torn up. I guess the leather, which isn't high Quality in the first place can look like this with Zero maintenance in 45 plus years; mine Looks a bit better at about 100k.
Pretty "ordinary Standard" Hurst without console shift, cornering lights, Standard steering wheel without telscope, chances are good it has no Auto temp.

Yeah, that is what I concluded, as the heater valve looks like the aftermarket type to replace the crappy original ones that are high priced and only last two years before leaking if you are lucky. But the auto temp heater valves look much like the aftermarket manual a/c ones so it is hard to be sure.

Nope, I already have one - more of a project, and it is far down on my list. I just liked the non-Hurst model 300s more. The Hursts are too gaudy for my tastes. I like more simple beauty. And no vinyl roof on a C body rarely makes them look nearly as good as with them - an exception would maybe be the Sport Fury GTs. Yeah, I know there are others who disagree strongly though.

I'm almost always in line with your tastes, but Vinyl tops kill the sleek lines of almost every Hardtop coupe IMHO.

Look at the kid, dad is probably a bit larger

It is this view in particular that looks a little ungainly unless the top is broken up from the rest of the body IMO. It just doesn't flow well without one (the roof looks too small compared to the rear deck)

The kick up at the rear quarter window due to the vinyl roof trim breaks up the imbalance to my eyes:

Overall, I much prefer clean, elegant (yet sporty) and more simple designs.

I never got to excited with the 300 H. I think its the paint skeme and dowdy colors. Plus tan interiors are at the bottom of my list.

The seller wants 20g for the car, I offered him 16g today he is firm on 20g.
The 300 Hurst is my dream Car one day I will own one.

The black and White press relase completely sold me on the Hurst, the best way to present it and as a kid in Germany pre Internet this was the only pic I had in the Standard Catalog of American cars. At that time it was one of a few Chryslers that interested me, apart from the time of the mid 50s till the end of the Forward Look era. The extreme Looks wear off a bit after a while (although the Treatment was even considered tasteful and restrained in some publications of the day), though, agreed but still one of my favorites.
