From what I've been told, the hoods are a fibreglass panel bonded to a steel stock hood frame. Typically, they separate and the fibreglass panel warps. It's supposed to be very fixable.

If someone buy it for parting out, I'll take the frame and trunk floor :D

Well since its one of my dream cars I contacted the guy for better pic's & more info. He is suppose to get back to me. Andy (AAR65) will stop by & take a look after I see the better pics if I need. Thanks Andy:eek:ccasion14:I dont plan on parting if I end up with it. I hope to drive the darn thing. I have a low mileage 440 smog motor sitting in the shop just to get it on the road. If it turn out to be a parts car I will pass. Logistics of getting it back to NC is gonna be a challenge too. Will see. He has allready told me the seats dont come with the car. I need another project......

The rear trunk lid usually warps too. It was for owners, a common subject of complaint to chrysler .

We talked about this one at length in another thread, I think it was determined that it is not a real Hurst.

What :icon_eek: well i have not got that far with him yet. He sent a bunch of pic's. Its a bit rough, but for $1400.00 I didn't expect it to be much. I wish this car was closer to me. I buy it just to have. If its not a true Hurst car & we already know it has an engine change plus the distance I guess i had better pass. Looks like some others before me have passed. I appreaciate the heads up.

Bob, you being the man, just forward me what to look for as far as it being a Hurst or not (unless the C Body crew already proved it) and I'll swing by this weekend. Then it is just a matter of condition. Pictures can be decieving. Need be I can winch it on my trailer and keep it at my shop until you can grab it.

I read the add and it doesnt say it is a hurst, just that it has a hurst hood and trunklid. i assumed it was a normal 300.

C Body Bob, Did he sent you pictures of the trunk floor and frame ?
He did not sent me any, just told me to call him.. :(
