Road wheels, 440 "Super Commando", hmmm...

Too bad it's in Victoria BC....that's a far piece from here.

Nice car, and no I am no fan of Mustangs, but I doubt it leaves 5.0 mustangs in the dust lol. I doubt my 300 would keep up with a v6 mustang!

Maybe he put a bigger cam in it!

(joking)

From a standing start...eh...rolling start...maybe. :)

I would never know, as I would only be looking at the 300 :-D

I wonder if that ad is still valid. It's been there since August 2013, and the vendor doesn't reply to inquiries. He never did. I have tried on several occasions. - There is something curious about the dates in the photos. Many of the photos are dated 2015-07-06, even though (1) we are not there yet, and (2) the same photos have been there for almost two years now.

It would be an interesting car, if it was for real, and really for sale. Ticks many boxes in my list: nice color, white buckets, tilt wheel, console shift, original (?) TNT engine, no dents. Only the air conditioning is missing, being a northern car. It needs refreshing up, certainly, but which car doesn't, at that age?

'70 300 U-code performance

Btw, I would love to see accurate, professionally made performance measurements of these Fuselage beasts. The cars should be blueprinted to factory specs, and tested on similar conditions. 0-60 times, 1/4 mile times, top speeds, braking distances from pre-described speeds, and such. During the past 45 years I have seen only two reputable Magazine reports on them. The '70 300 Hurst supposedly did 0-60 in 7.1 seconds. I can't recall the name of the magazine. At any rate, there're too many rumors around, and too little facts.

(I did a personal test on my old man's '70 T-code NY 4dHT in the late '70's. It did 0-60 in 8.2 to 8.4 seconds, from a standing start, standing mildly on the brake, timed manually using a regular track & field stopwatch. I never had the nerve to repeat the test on my own car, it being over 40 years old.)

I had a 67 NYr when my bro had a 67 Firebird w/the 350 2bbl carb. back in 78. We played chase on I45 one day near Houston. Being safe and only hitting it when the lanes were clear. At highway speeds, the big Chrysler could win the day but it was no drag car. Just a big cruiser with plenty of power. That car and a later purchase of a 72 Monaco is what led me to buy my 70 Imperial a few months ago. A big comfortable car with a big block engine. What can be better? Only a Mopar.

Obviously the guy is a liar or an idiot. Maybe if the Mustang was parked. My 71 Polara Brougham, T code 440 with hp manifolds and 3:23 gears and 78000 original miles ... she ran 15.3. Now, my reaction time was embarrassing , not 2 seconds embarrassing.

Lets be honest, they are built for comfort, not speed, like a fat chick..... Like Shallow Hal,I see her this way

Not this way

Maybe the seller of this Chrysler does too
