I've finally gotten around to parting my '70 300 convertible. This 26" radiator is correct for 1970 Chrysler 300, New Yorker, Newport and Hurst, Dodge Monaco and Polara, and Plymouth Fury when equipped with air conditioning. Includes the matching shroud. Radiator is 2998970, and shroud is 2785435.
Overall, the radiator is in nice shape. It was full of decent coolant, so probably not leaking, and the lower fluid tank still had trans fluid in it, so again, probably in decent shape. The top tank does NOT have the typical 'knee dent' often found on Mopar radiators. The core, while probably okay in a general sense, should be replaced, or at ease pressure checked and cleaned.
The shroud is likewise very nice, with no splits, cracks or gouges. It still has the small piece along the bottom where the lower hose is located, which is often missing. This shroud was used on most C-body cars, 1967 – 1970 when equipped with a 26” radiator and air conditioning.
This is a very nice unit to send out for a restore/recore. If the original radiator and shroud of your ride or project is damaged or missing, this may be worthy of your consideration.
If you need additional information or pictures, please feel free to e-mail me. I have a zip file of pictures which show this in better detail.
