No I sold it before the auction went off. I don’t think anyone in their right mind would pay 66 grandCongratulations on the sale. Do you feel that the result of the Mecum auction car had an impact...or was it already a done deal by then?
Dave
I always said the first person that actually came out to see the car would buy it. The whole time I had it for sale nobody came out to look at it. People would just call and text stupid offers. This gentlemen from France sent an independent inspector to inspect it. He took about 1000 digital pictures Of the car. I’m serious. He took 20 pictures of the dash. He crawled under it, in the engine bay, in the trunk. 3 hours later he left, and I got my asking price. I really felt it was a prime example of a 300 hurst with exception to my brother in laws, his is rotesserie restored. Oh well now I’m looking for my sport fury gt.
Congratulations on the sale. Sounds like that inspector was very thorough. Maybe you could post his contact info here for any member here who might need his service. I've heard many horror stories of inspectors not doing a proper job.
I know you said you got your asking price. How did it fare compared to market value? Some cars are higher and lower, yours looks like it was in really nice shape.
Where is the original link in the for sale section here on FCBO?

I hate seeing them leave the country, but only because I know I won't get to see them after that. So long as the cars are preserved and loved, I don't suppose it matters where they go. Funny to me how many will pay so much more for a DD, of course I love Formals and cheap drivers... so most folks think I'm nuts.Well it sold, sad to say it’s going to France.
