1970 chrysler newport, 383 engine,new 2bbl carburator holley, 727 transmision, , engine is runing, but the transmision is leaking the front seals, its a good project for $900.

Lol, did have a passing thought there...900 bucks, parts car........before came back to my senses.
 
That rear bumper looks mighty clean, I got few scratches and tiny dents in mine. Looking at that mtr too.

Yeah....I know, that's the sense part....or lack there of. Wish there salvage yards in these parts to go parts hunting...
 
I remember thirty years ago you couldnt hit all the salvage yards in one day that were in operation in your county
 
Well, I guess you could say some salvage yards are online now, right"? ....ex. RockAuto, and you don't even have to deal with the old & crusty yard owner. Still, I bet it was nice spending a Saturday afternoon out there.
 
30 years ago you didn't have ebay, CL, and finding a part sitting 2,000 mi. away from the comfort of your den/office.

I wasnt but in 84 I knew where eight were in salvage yards.

Again, not the point, just an example
 
I've got my eye on that hitch in the back..... I'm thinking about toteing a small "pop-up" camper behind my 300.
