1970 CHRYSLER NEWPORT CONVERTIBLE! | eBay
1970 Chrysler NEWPORT CONVERTIBLE... This collectible 70's Convertible was the desire of the crowd in its day being ONE of only 1100 EVER PRODUCED!!
383-4, auto, factory a/c, bucket seats, power top, original unrestored condition. We drove this rare Collectible Convertible several years ago then it was parked in storage so we know the motor is good and the trans shifts. We have not recently attempted to start it. Brakes need work. Primer was sparsely applied by original owner long ago to prevent surface rust due to thinning paint, scratches and dings... White interior is original. Vert top is torn and needs replacing but the power mechanism works well. That is how we put the top down! This car will require some work. It appears to be mostly complete. It is NOT a show car by any means, and yet perhaps better than most 47 year old UNrestored classic convertibles on todays market!
Trunk pan was repaired probably because of some typical convertible top drain trough issues, however most of the rest of the body appears relatively solid. This Car has a Florida clean title!

With just 2 days left and no bids, that says a lot. Florida cars can be scary even if they might appear reasonable on the surface.............

383 4 bbl? I'd like to see the VIN. I'll bet someone dropped that carb on it, I bet it's an "L."

Car is rough.

If anyone is interested in this car, I have a complete set of proper wheelcovers for it. Those fake spokes have got to go!

Low bids could also be that the car is listed in the "Vintage Parts - Exterior - Hoods" category. None of my usual searches turned this up until this morning while I was looking for parts.

Maybe after listing it a couple of times with no bids he will drop the price and list it the correct place. Nah, still think he is smokin some good stuff.

Ok. 3 emblems on grille... That is -69 style. Shouldnt -70 have 0 emblems? But side markers, interior says its a -70 car.
Single snorkel air cleaner on 4bbl, not sure of -70, but -69 has dual snorkel.

Good eye. The grille should only have the Chrysler script on the driver side and the 383-4 bbl car should have dual snorkle air cleaner too.

I looked closely at that grill. It does not have the three symbols that the '69 has, but I do believe it's a '69 grill with them eremoved. The air cleaner was why I wrote what I did earlier about thinking this was was a 2bbl car, not a 4.
