Interesting classic Mopar or AMC trades?

I had this truck for sale on two classifieds with a listed price for two weeks without a single offer and now all of a sudden I'm getting swamped with emails for a price. All I can say is that if you are interested in buying the truck for resale, forget it, it aint that cheap and I aint that desperate. However, if you are interested in buying the truck because you appreciate it for what it is, and have the means to either restore it or repair it, make me an offer! I bought it for $3500, and have more in it than that, but obviously nobody is going to value it at that price so just make me an offer. All I can say is yes or no.

I should have listed it in the barter section. If you have a classic Mopar or AMC that I am interested in, I would rather trade so I don't lose so much in value.

The truck is all original other than than the engine, it has been converted to a '64 413 engine from an Imperial. It still has the original 727 automatic transmission, Dana 60 rear axle, power steering and power brakes. The truck came from out west, the camper was long gone when I acquired it.

The truck is in need of some restoration. The motor could use a rebuild but will run decent with an ignition upgrade. I haven't had any extra money to put into it at this point and just hate to see it sit. Transmission shifts fine and running gear is in good condition. The body is in very good condition for it's age although it obviously needs paint. It has a solid bed, tailgate, body panels, frame, floors and door panels. There is some rust around body mount in passenger floor but nothing major. Some surface rust has formed on exterior surface. The interior is as it came, doesn't need anything but seat reupholstery.

With the RB engine upgrade, the kickdown linkage should be replaced with the correct type. Good luck finding it because it does not exist. Either a manual valve body in the tranny will need to be installed or a cable type kickdown linkage to complete the RB engine conversion. The truck has not been road driven without the kickdown linkage to keep from damaging the transmission. I know from experience this can be an issue if neglected.

All instrumentation and dash controls work with the exception of the amp gauge and the air conditioning. I put a Chrysler style one wire alternator on it after repeated alternator failures. The voltage regulator is now a replaceable component of the alternator.

The truck has headers, dual exhaust (side discharge), an updated Edelbrock 4bbl carburetor and a new battery.

At least he is realistic in that he is not going to get what he paid for it. Either he paid too much, looking at it, or he let it go to that condition.

As good as those old Sweptline Dodge trucks are they really don't bring much money. Not like a 69 Chev, or even a Ford truck.
$3500. was to much to pay for that truck in that shape. Realistic market value for it would be in the 1500.00 range.
I wouldn't mind having it myself but already have a 64 D200 crewcab.

My 65 F-100 cost me $1200 5 years ago and since a San Jose truck there was only one small spot of rust on the back in the front driver's corner. Cab supports, doors and fenders were clean as a whistle. I would put the 60's F-100 trucks in the same boat as the Sweptline trucks. As a Ford truck parts expert, I know, he call them rolling piles of misery not worth much money.
