"looking to sell me 1970 Plymouth fury 2"

Mother O'Leary's cat in ah tree; what's with all the leprechaun's selling cars on Craigslist lately? Didn't there used to be a word called "my"? When did it disappear from the American lexicon?

"had no brakes and suspension needs replaced. the back window is broken. this makes a great project car"

What makes an excellent project car? Tornado damage? A flood? Theft recovery? How about an interior fire? I suppose it's a great project if you work at Midas and moonlight at a glass repair shop.

At least the price isn't obscene. Clear trash bag, pinch off the rear brake lines and perfect winter beater!

Looks like it might be useful for a cop car clone. As far as the grille there must be hundreds of the 70 grilles available because most change the the hidden headlights.

Carmine, I couldn't have handed off the reigns of bitter contempt of ignorant CL sellers to a more appropriate cynic of our education system.

If seller managed to smash the rear window, during the photoshoot, the thing this car needs the most, is a new owner...!

(I know he didn't, I was trying to be funny.. and probalby failed)

PS: Shipping would cost me just over 4 times the asking price.. :-/

I keep saying I've got to quit looking at the for sale ads, this one is too close and too cheap. The car looks like it needs work but I suspect it's a solid car to restore. The un-cracked dash pad and steering wheel are worth the asking price.

This is why you don't park cars under dying trees.

1000 for a good dash pad and a bunch of other stuff? Lets be honest, he'll take 700 for it and be happy, id be happy to give it

The verb "to be", would be appreciated as well.

For example,.....''the car needs to be restored" or, "the window needs to be replaced".

NOT "car needs restored", or " needs replaced", or "needs painted".

For the love of God America,....stop dumbing it down! It's NOT cool to sound stupid!

Thank you.

This car is close to me as well, I was considering it for a parts car. Does anyone know if the 4 door fenders will fit a 2 door? (I've come across other makes/models of cars where the 2 and 4 door front clips are the same, wondering if that's the case with Fury's)

The fenders will fit. Out of curiosity, who uses different fenders between 2/4drs (unless you mean something like a '71 Satellite, but those differences are pretty obvious.)

Thanks for confirming the fenders will fit.

There's some models of Hondas and other more modern import makes that have different fenders/hood/bumper between the 2 door and 4 door variants of the same car (I'm new to these old Plymouths, so I didn't know if there were any fitment differences, again thanks for confirming).

I texted the seller, I'm probably gonna go look at this car this weekend.

I really don't think he, the seller, took part in any kind of educational system to be honest.

Let's not forget this frequent offender..

"I have decided to sale this car"

I'm sure someone is thinking "sale/sell", you get the idea ol' man.
