Hmmm...383 Magnum Badges on a Plymouth. Distributor in the back of the engine.

Small block 383 Magnum pretty rare option.

Weird car. Never seen a copcar that was a hardtop but it does have a spotlight hole and cert speedo, could have been added I guess. Don't see a battery shield and has manual brakes. I'm betting not an original copcar.

That's an easy swap and means nothing. I have done it on four cars, even rolled the mileage to where it was when the original came out of the car.

I have my doubts on this one,
Fury III (not a Fury I)
Hardtop.

You'd need to see the VIN to see if it was a package car but not all departments purchased package cars but I doubt they'd get Fury III hardtops.

I could have been purchased for the Chief or something and been a standard car.

Our local police gets package cars for the patrol but cars off the local Chrysler/Ford/Chevrolet lot for the Chief and detectives. Our Police Chief has a Chrysler 300 and most of the detective cars are aging Ford Taurus.

The VIN should tell the tale. It could be it was from a one horse town where the Sheriff supplied his own cruiser.

A village near where I live used to have its own police service consisting of ONE constable. He always supplied and drove Chryslers. The last one he had before he retired and the village did away with the Dept was a NYB.

Nothing like going to jail in style. :laughing6:
