I've gone to so many of those and have been dissapointed.
The dealers have it picked over by 8:01 and the other 98% is junk.
Yet we still go...

The last one I went to I bought a used Harbor Freight body repair set with one anvil missing for $4.00

A 318 with console and am fm..... I'd like to have that car. Perfect, no air to fuss with. The way cars were intended to be built.....

Wonder what the story is with that console. Did the Sport Fury get a different console than the Fury?

Correct, incorrect top for a Fury but it certainly could have left the factory with it.

That looks like the one in Bill's (Fury440) car, and his came that way.

Yeah, thats the kicker Bill being the orignal owner. He knows it was there from the start. The Chrysler and Dodge usual got this console top. I would really like to know if there was a reason or if they were just grabbing console tops from the bin.

I never realized that my padded top console was not standard until 1996 when I tried to buy a new top for it. Years ago I had drilled a hole to mount a vacuum gauge that I no longer wanted. In the end I reused the hole to mount my tach so all worked out well. I don't think these padded tops were a Sport Fury item, AFAIK they were Chrysler 300, Hurst etc. I know I'd never seen one on a Plymouth before.

Until now. ......

The Chrysler and Dodges usually got these but who knows if anything has been changed. That is what is so valuable about your car, the one owner status.....

I've seen a few Polaras with the wood grain top but again, who knows if it's been changed

Thats why you didn,t bought the green 71 polara 2dr from CL last month......?

No.... the green 71 has been listed several times off and on. Unfortunately, the kid that owns it cant figure out how much he wants for it and, treats it as if it is a Honda.
The oil leaks, the vinyl top issues, the variations in the paint and the wing bolted through the trunk lid scared me off and my son in law. The kid was also very uncommunicative , reaching back on his terms.

Oh yeah, it was green

May go check this sale out today. It's about an hour and a half from home.

It's back for sale. Can't remember what it was originally.

It seems like if anyone bought that, they might want to get as far under the front end as possible and really inspect the stub. The entire nose( except the hood) is from a 71. And everywhere you drive that there will a person waiting to tell you that.
