Wonder what the story is with that console. Did the Sport Fury get a different console than the Fury?
Correct, incorrect top for a Fury but it certainly could have left the factory with it.
I never realized that my padded top console was not standard until 1996 when I tried to buy a new top for it. Years ago I had drilled a hole to mount a vacuum gauge that I no longer wanted. In the end I reused the hole to mount my tach so all worked out well. I don't think these padded tops were a Sport Fury item, AFAIK they were Chrysler 300, Hurst etc. I know I'd never seen one on a Plymouth before.Yeah, thats the kicker Bill being the orignal owner. He knows it was there from the start. The Chrysler and Dodge usual got this console top. I would really like to know if there was a reason or if they were just grabbing console tops from the bin.
A 318 with console and am fm..... I'd like to have that car. Perfect, no air to fuss with. The way cars were intended to be built.....
