What an ***.

$4,500 body only

I have a RUST-FREE 1970 CHRYSLER NEW YORKER 2 door coupe! Looks the whole front-end such as the tie rod ends and ball joints were rebuilt. This wiring under the hood was disconnected so precisely when the 440 motor and transmission was removed. The exterior color is WHITE. The interior is GOLD for money. How would YOU like to bring this GREAT WHITE WHALE back to it's surface? All this car needs is the ALMIGHTY 440 motor & tranny ( which I have available $$$ ) to be put back into the motor compartment. The brakes may also have to be gone thru because it's been sitting in garage. If interested please call (six1two) 866.one2one0.

He should put the engine and trans back in it and as 5K.

WTF??? Why would any half-wit-mouth-breather think it was a good idea to pull that car apart??? That is so f-ing irritating! Looks like it has 14 in wheels on it with Plymouth hub caps too. I'm guessing the 440, 727, sure grip center section (didn't mention it but I bet it had one) and 15 in wheels all went on a clapped out POS e-body or b-body.:BangHead:

I would wait to judge the guy. He may not have pulled the engine and wheels.

He may have bought the car that way... How many cars do we see without engines for sale? A lot... He doesn't say he has the original engine, so his intentions may have been to fix the car himself... or even flip the car.

Let's see what the real story is.

I would like to know the story on the original powertrain too....

Okay I got a response, check below.
Gary,

There was no motor when my brother bought it! The reason he bought it because it was so damn clean! The person who did remove the motor LABELED every wire / connector. It was so cleanly done.

My brother bought a 440 motor a few years back, but has never been able to put it together in the vehicle. You just don't see these cars RUST-FREE!!!! You should check it out.

Then put the engine back in and sell it as a running car. It's worth maybe the 45 with the engine and transmission installed as a running driving car

Typical...some one out there got taken and payed through the nose thinking he got a "numbers matching" B or E body.

Well, then I think he bought it to flip it for 3x his purchase price.

the guy has the car already several years.
I got it offered already 3-4 years ago.
He was always at 4.500$
Even back then he said he bought it as is.
He got new photos this time with wrong Plymouth hubcaps installed

This car has been discussed here at least twice before. First in early 2012, and then in 5/2015:

It's a rolling shell the vendor's brother got as it is, as a trade-in for a 300G, some five years ago. At least that is what the owner told me over the phone in May. He sounded like a nice, reasonable guy. He then proceeded to source a '67 Imp engine for it, but never got around to installing it. I guess the life got in way. It happens to most of us sometimes. Health problems, and that sort of thing. Anyway, what is left of the car is in pretty nice shape. The car has been oversprayed sometime in it's life, and in spite of what the ad states - it was written by the brother of the owner - it is not completely rust free. It's very nice for a mid western car, but not rust free.

Overall, it is very much like the car I have been looking for. These don't come around often, anymore.
