That car has a lot going for it.

There's a few things going on... 71 grille, console sprayed black etc, but they don't detract that much. The crappy "touch up" makes me wonder what's going on under there, but it should be easy to figure out how bad the rust really is. Judging by the trunk, I'd say it can't be too bad.

It's been for sale for about three years that I know of. I don't think it's just the grille. I think it's the entire nose that's 71.
It has the potential to be a great driver, but I would think an in person inspection would be a must, especially on the front end.

Both quarters have been worked on rather poorly and need redone if not replaced. In it's present state not worth more than 5K IMHO.

thanks. first time I ever saw it was today :)

I saw the VIN was '70 and snout (whole front clip?) was not .. seller didnt offer any explanation for that glaring inconsistency.

Does the 70 and 71 have different sheet metal and bumpers? I thought they were the same.

Same bumpers and fenders. Different hood and front valance. The front turn signals are the kicker. Potentially the most expensive replacement. There may be other stuff. If a a driver only the grille can be put in it

If the entire nose were replaced I wonder if the correct fender tag is there?

Thought I throw in my two cents. Beautiful car by the way could be my 69's brother. Those 70 cuda side markers might buy you a few new fenders if you sold em. I remember back in the 80's pulling hundreds of those off old wrecks in Maricopa Az before they crushed the poor old things. The cuda guys ate em up in the days before repops. Just saying...
