Contact seller
Hi! As I've mentioned before I am looking for my first C-Body from overseas. Here's the car that got my attention:

My friend who lives in AB, Canada was able to contact the seller and get some more information. Unfortunately the guy doesn't speak English very well, not he's too communicative.

Here's what I know from him:

Hi.

I ll send you more pics this week when the outside temperature will be good.

Not really rust on the car, its a 70's not brand new and not for exposition at the moment. the frame and the floors are very good. The body is good too, the trunk need a new paint, the sun broke the clear. The roof vinyl cover (2014) exaults (2010) seats cover (2010) exept the front passanger. i don't know the term in English but the power sterring (feet) was refurbish (2014) all seals as been change (2014) transmission (2014) the car need an aligment and a manifold. The interior is complete exept in the dash, its suppose to have a wood décoration sticker with a tag (sport fury). I have the tag and the plastic but dont have the sticker wood. the passanger front seat need a little reparation. Its a beautiful c body in a really good condition for the evalation price.

i hope that you have the informations you want. photos will follow in a later email, as soon as possible

Thanks.

sorry for my bad english

Oli !

I'm posting the pics below.

My question is - do you think it's worth risking without having someone see it? I absolutely love the fact that it's a 383+hideaway lights+center console. I know that the paint job probably sucks and there may be some rust below, but overall it doesn't look that bad does it?
I can handle all the mechanical issues, but I wouldn't like to touch the bodywork/frame etc.

I appreciate your oppinions on it!

Hit or miss. I've bought sight unseen and got burned and I've bought sight unseen and got a bargain. . . .
A couple of hundred bucks can have someone look at it, which is the best thing to do

And if you are really serious about a car...NEVER NEVER EVER post it on here until you are committed either way

Haha .......what do you think , you,r the only one looking for fuselage coupes.....
If it was orig black i would be interested but it would be sold allready then i think......

Lots of guys from scandinavie , Germany , Netherlands looking for these.....
And the Canadian dollar/euro course is more interesting.......

Lve been looking at this one for few weeks now....don't for a min think others haven't been....that the nicer of the 2 70s in Quebec....other is a ph29 car

It looks sharp enough. My only issue is THE NORTHEAST. Chrysler wasn't particularly known for steel quality as it was. I've seen a lot of low mileage cars on the west coast that were Swiss cheese. Over here, I'd advise anyone to get real close and personal to their perspective purchase.

It's hard to judge from this one. I'd love to pay someone for inspection. I'd rather loose few hundred bucks than buy a rust bucket...

Wish I lived closer to QC I'd gladly have a look if I did. I lived in Montreal for 7 years... Unfortunately, unless that car had a inordinate amount of garage time, there are almost certainly issues.

Being a black car helps. The pictures show nice straight reflections down the sides. Any poor body work would show up there. If the color was changed then the car had to have been stripped completely apart. What should be black, shows black.

These are just a couple of things that can be determined fairly reliably from the pic's. It would help to have someone look at it, but if the car pushes your buttons, giving the distance, I'd say go for it and expect a few short comings when it arrives.

I bought three of my current collector vehicles sight unseen and was not disappointed with any. All had issues that were not disclosed, but no deal changers.

There are "lurkers" here who will, and have, jumped in and bought cars out from under members who posted the contact details here. (Ask Julian). Keep them to yourself, or share only with those who may help you through a PM.
