Does anyone have any pics for a H4XP two-tone interior for bucket seats for a 1970 Sport Fury? I was just on the SMS Fabrics website and according to them, the colors are teal and black. I don't think I've ever seen this combo before. I was assuming it was going to be dark teal and a lighter blue.

Sounds super interesting and could be pretty cool if it's correct. However, I'm a little doubtful about it.

Thanks

I assumed it would look like this. Or is that it? I can't tell. The inserts look dark blue, but maybe they are, in fact, black.

It is a very dark blue, but not black. I don't have any shots of my build tag, but I assume it decodes as two-tone blue. It's on the green end of the spectrum, but definitely not turquoise.

Thanks, Big_John! So, according to the Color and Trim selector, H4XP was the vinyl split-back bench seat with folding center armrest in "Teal and black", whereas the second of these colors only appeared in form of the carpet, instrument panel and steering wheel (as was the case with a white interior). The seats would be all one solid teal color, albeit the vinyl being made up of two different grains.

Ah, interesting. That makes sense, seeing as I currently have the split back bench seat in blue and my carpet, dash is black. So the two tone buckets that would be correct would be the ones in the pics above.

I really need to peruse that Hamtrack site more. There's some really good stuff on there.

Thanks for the help! Guess I need to contact SMS before they send me my samples.

One thing I find interesting regarding the 1970 color and trim book, is that the bucket seats shown have a different pattern than what they actually ended up producing. This is decidedly different than the pics posted above.

Oh boy. So according to the guide, the only interior bucket seat color options that go with an FP6 (Frosted Teal Metallic) exterior are tan (H6T5 - no thanks) or charcoal & black (H6XA). I am assuming this is the case because the lighter blue used in the H6B3 option just doesn't match the frosted teal exterior.

While I don't mind black, I'm not sure I want to change door panels, headliner, sun visors and armrests (although I might have to change the headliner out anyway).

I guess I could always get the teal vinyl that's used in the H4XP option for the buckets.

Thoughts?

see black everyday bah humbug....now teal on the other hand.....

Yeah, I'm kind of thinking the same thing. The H4XP teal on buckets wouldn't technically be correct, but would probably look pretty good.

The charcoal/black could be kind of sharp and a little different from straight black. Still, I don't relish having an a black/dark interior in Phoenix.

Here's the teal. I like it. I could even use the different grains for the inner/outer seat.
