Does anyone know if 1970 904 and 727 trans cooling lines for 1970 Plymouth Fury with 26" radiator are same?

Switching my 1970 Convertible from 318/904 to 440/727.

If not, inline tube lists these for Newport 124" wheel base, but not for Fury 120" wheel base. What is difference between trans cooling lines for 1970 Chrysler and Plymouth? Plymouth, shorter stub frame > shorter lines?

Thanks! Ben

Well that’s bigger than my project. I just got a 440 rad at a great price from Mr Matt and I’m stuffing it in the 318 auto. I’ve eyeballed it and it looks like it’ll bolt right in. The cooler line size looks to be a match so you if you can rebend yours and they’re not too short you’re probably in business.

A cheat , hack or whatever is to grab a calcustom type universal cooler kit and that $25 junk can bridge the gap until you can source the new (old) lines for cheep/free. My brother would always just “insert rubber line here” not my favorite fix but in all our years of swapping he never had a line pull free and leak...

I have used 904 lines on a 727 before, simply try it with the motor and trans out of the car first to check the fit. As for different cars with longer wheelbases, that has no affect on the distance between the transmission and the radiator.

They will fit. 727 is just bigger, like most of us around the middle. Mounts are in the same spot from bell housing. Linkage is in the same spot, just the physical outside is bigger around. Tail shaft is longer has no effect on lines.
