Not mine.
Looks pretty decent, might be worth a look. I wish that ad site would allow more than 1 pic, but what do you want for nothing.

No trim on the car anymore and red wasn't a factory color for the interior. But seemingly nice. I wonder what is under the fairly new paint? I note also that the passenger door mirror isn't correct and when enlarging the photo, there appears to be rust around the rear wheel opening rearing its ugly head, and the pentastar appears to be painted over on the lower front fender. The interior was originally white it appears too. I think it is clear why the price is what it is................

90 minutes west of me.........half tempted to call him just for the heck of it but gotta be issues with it for only $4500. Prob original green, bondo barge, etc.

I really like the car 300 are getting harder to find and this car looks to be in pretty good shape and pretty good price for matching numbers coupe If I had the money I would buy it and fix up and enjoy it

I thought I would provide an update on what I was able to find out about this car so far. The seller apparently works with heavy equipment and has a very busy schedule, with a family, and living in a different time zone has made it necessary to be patient in terms of finding out more about the car. But he always eventually follows up.

Apparently he bought the car the way it is currently (he doesn't have the missing trim on the sides) and acknowledged that some of the work on the car has not been done to a high standard. But it apparently is a good driver and he said the underneath of the car was very solid and that the floorpans were in good shape. He said there have been some previous repairs for rust in the usual places such as the rear quarters and I think he was describing the lower rear part of the front fenders, but he claimed it was not a "rusty car" ever, but did have some patches. He did send me a photo of the body code plate. It turns out it is originally a GK6 autumn bronze metallic color with a tan vinyl top and tan/brown interior, a combination I have never seen before in real life, but interesting enough to me to make it worth considering if I needed/wanted another one. It has a/c, am 8 track radio (so it is already set up to accomodate an AM/FM Stereo radio if desired since it will have the 3 speaker dash in it), cornering lights, bucket seats/center arm rest, power disc brakes, tilt wheel, rear window defogger but no power windows or seats. It has tinted glass and has the standard T code 440 engine.

In talking with him, he seems to be a motivated seller since he made the comment that he needs the car gone and has $3000 in the car at present, and although his listed price is $4500, he said he would not take less than $3000 "and would let it sit outside and rot if anyone tries to get it for less" (I never asked him anything about price, he just volunteered all that).

It was my impression that he doesn't really know much about these cars but just liked it for its looks and driving experience. He also seemed honest. I do know I like these cars very much, and if it were me, I would probably own it by now if it wasn't clear across the country, but I would like to see it saved and thought if anyone out there in FCBO land likes these cars too, this one might be worth following up on since they just don't show up much anymore at all. It does need some restoration it appears, but it might be a sound basis to start with.

I would strongly recommend you not waste his time if you are not serious about the car though, as he really doesn't have time for photo seekers that are not really serious. That is why I didn't press him for more photos since I concluded for my circumstances, I should not try to acquire another one. I was just hoping that someone serious about getting one of these cars might step up and consider saving it (if it is as claimed, and running/drving for $3000 and you don't get it, then I would conclude you really don't like these cars all that much). If you do end up getting it, please let us know and then send us some photos of your newly acquired 71 300. Good luck!

BTW, the seller's name is Eric and his contact number is 814 285-6851

Great Info! Thank you Steve. I think $3k is a bargain and to restore it to original color specs it would be even better! :)
