Hello C-body folks, I have a solid mostly original Newport w/383 and Torqueflight showing 44,673 miles. Most likely 144,673. My father bought the car from the original owner in 1995. He drove it for about a year and parked it. The car sat untouched until 2020 when he gave it to me. I went through everything to make it safe and reliable. New tires, new fuel fank and sending unit, new master cylinder and rebuilt booster, new brake hoses and new wheel cylinders, rebuilt calipers, Sanden compressor with paralell flow condenser, all new hoses, flushed cooling system. I also rebuilt the carburetor, replaced fuel pump and changed all fluids. The car starts stops runs and drives perfectly. It floats straight down the road with no hands on the wheel and shifts as it should. Also it was repainted in the late 1980's and is not perfect but would clean up pretty well. The floors, trunk and rockers are solid but it has rust around the rear window that needs to be fixed. It was inside a carport while my Father owned it. Once I got it running I left it outside and it rained overnight. the next day the trunk was wet inside. I removed the trunk mat and dried everything out but for that reason I have not driven it in the rain. It has been under a carport since that episode and I would plan to fix the window rust before leaving it outside. I do have the original hubcaps, spare tire and jack. I also have all the window trim but I removed it and the peeling portion of the top to see how bad the rust was. I poked around with a sharp screw driver and it isn't too bad. What you see is what you get. I hope that someone interested in these cars will take it to the next level. It really is very original, I just don't have as much time to tinker these days. No Major leaks, steering box input shaft is beginning to weep a bit of fluid and I had planned to do the firm feel upgrade at some point. The fuel sending unit has never registered exactly right, figured I'd get to it some day. Front bumper is slightly wonky and 8-track does not work. I'm happy to anwer any questions. Thank you, Jason

Thank you for posting CL43L1C148688 -- great color! The upholstery looks very good, the lower mileage (i.e., the odometer has not turned over) is a possibility -- though I am puzzled in that case by the steering wheel. A picture of the pedals would help.

Do you have photos of the trunk pan (under the mat)? On a minor note, what happened to the left rear valance?

Thanks I dig the color too. Here are a few more pics. The trunk floor looks worse than it is. That bright orange rust stain is on the surface. No serious pitted areas and no pinholes. Thankfully I caught it early and pulled it back inside. The left rear Valance was probably Tow truck mishap just guessing.
