1971 chrysler new yorker original big block car but the motor does not come with it...the car is in pretty decent shape if one was to restore it or use parts the hood come with it and have a title for it. Contact me for info on price. So I Text the guy bout the car he says he pulls the L code 440 for his 77 powerwagon, which had 40k miles on the whole car. WHAT AN IDIOT!!!!!!. Said he bought the car from an older gent who drove it too and fro to church. sound familiar? Ask him for more pics somethin with substance. He texts me 2 more pics. 1 of the seats which were white and in very nice shape, with the rear speaker in the middle of the rear seat, and one of the rear quarter panel behind tire, but 2 more pics, just don't cut it. this is the second time trying to see more pics. from an Iowa car, the first being a 68 S-Fury 4 spd. car, that guy sent 2 pics. also. Not sure what it is with people from Iowa, but they sure don't like to take pics. even after requested.... Now a $600. car is $400,or 500 the way I see it Hell if he doesn't come down it's still a 6oo dollar car. Now I know you guys will critique the hell out of it and find this/that wrong with it NO POWER vent windows and the like. But if you're a true C body enthusiast, worth your SALT... DON'T LET THE DERBY DUMBASSES,even breathe on this car. Someone closer than myself needs to check this car out in person, and make it their own. Would love to own myself but don't think I could have it procured in time, for I have a 69 L motor nestled in my shop, so if someone would check out the car personally, for me, upon results I will send m.o. or even if they want to purchase, that's fine. Please don't let it get crushed or the fore mentioned derby assholes git it. Now I realize there are ignorant people EVERYWHERE. I personally know folks from Iowa, and are hardworking red blooded Americans, but can't help to think of something I heard yrs. ago, IOWA, IDIOTS OUT WANDERING AROUND...

It looks ok but that rust over the quarter suggests it's not the runner you think it is

That is a shame, looks like it would have been a decent driver before having its heart and lungs torn out.

We have discussed this car before. There used to be more photos in the ad. - Now I wonder how much rust there is in that body? If the car is originally from Nebraska, there just might be very little of it. The interior is all over covered with mould, however. Which speaks against it being rust free.

If somebody showed me it really is rust free, I might be able to make something of it. It would take some 15 to 20 grand to put it back in shape, but now the starting price is in the right ballpark.

Western Nebraska is where you are going to find solid cars. Eastern Nebraska might as well be Michigan for rust.

Some cars need to be spared from the crusher if only for any parts that one can maybe squeeze out of it. There is no provenance or history in the car where a super human effort at a huge expense can be justified.
There are times you have to realize the patient is brain dead and you have to pull the plug.

This one's Goin to the derby ,,, I know it's unfortunate,,, but we can't save me all..... :angel4:

If the car is an L code, that is a 383 engine. T will be 440, U for High output. The Demon rust apparently got the better of it. The problem is all the damn salt used in the day, up to today I should say.

It is a New Yorker, the T-code 440 is standart in 1971, no 383 engines in a New Yorker

I called the guy, very unresponsive. If he was an Ambulance attendant, I would be dead.
he didn't know if it was regular 440 or TNT. He didn't know where the title was, or how to read it.

Know what ya mean, the very definition of brain dead. Ignorant people should be allowed to own KIAs, Hyundai and the like.

What would it take, for you to go the 40 miles and check out the car? thx.

I am only 20 minutes away and I don't even want to go over and deal with an idiot like that

I already bought a car yesterday I DON'T need another one already. Or do I? No I must stop running out of room!

I don't mind. I deal with people like him all the time. I'll look up his number and check it out.
thx. I appreciate, and I'm gonna owe ya one. At the very least we can expect some pics. and shed light on what this @&:%$ really has.
