"Guys, this car is one rare bird. I have recently checked numbers on the engine and this car is all numbers matching. Come pick it up for your challenger/Charger project, or restore this car as an investment!"

I somehow dislike this paragraph in the seller's ad.

The interior is toast though; should try to find a low mileage rust belt car and make one out of two.

These cars are in the same lineup as the plymouth duster, cuda, roadrunner, and gtx, coronet, and demon, hemi, 340, 360, mopar, 440, six pack, super bird, daytona, etc. The epitome of muscle car

I inquired about this car a couple weeks ago and it seems pretty legit, although I have not seen it in person. I doubt the seller would take less than his asking price either, which is probably fair, even if the interior is toast (it is a bench seat though - I would be tempted to put in some bucket seats). I think cm23uoc has the right idea. I actually like the colors, but decided the last thing I need is another project car! If I had to have one of these, I would definitely consider it from what I was able to learn about it. I didn't think he would still have it. He has more photos of it to share too, including the body code plate. He seemed straightforward and responsive to deal with too.

We used to post up pics of the for sale cars for posterity...

This car was for sale for $1000. I checked it out and passed. It is rough and yes, the interior and every piece of rubber/plastic is baked out of it. This guy selling it for $2800 literally just hosed it off and put air in the tires. Classic flip job!

Actually Brad incorrect.. Not a classic flip job. We have taken the time to get the engine running with a new fuel pump and rebuilt the carburetor. The car actually runs and drives. It is my son's car and he couldn't pass it up.I have restored many mopar cars over the past 35 years and this is one he wanted to do, but is having much trouble finding interior parts for this car. Not to mention his main focus is on school. If it doesn't sell we will be working on it as soon as it dips below 115 degrees :) . He really does not want to part it out as he knows how rare this thing is. Dan

Eh, still a flip job. Even got the chain hooked up to it still in the pictures.

Good luck with the car, the parts are out there, just need some time and patience to make it happen. I have two 70-71 Sport Fury's and working on others. As long as people like us network and help each other out, it can happen.

I was in the process of sorting out payment for this car, the original seller sold it from under me on the Saturday morning .......a week later its up for $3000 ........a classic flip job!! I didn't see any ads on here looking for interiors for it ....yeah I'm still pretty pissed about missing out on it .....its a classic flip job ok!!

Price is dropping I think. Thought the ad said $2000 this morning but now it says $2500.

If originally it sold not running for $1000, then $1500 is fair price for it in running condition, considering the toasted interior and passenger side swipe damage, IMHO.

There you go @Moose, work out a deal with the guy who was trying to get the car earlier, get a little pocket change and let it go to a home that will care for it. Just a thought.
There's value in knowing a car you are buying from thousands of miles away is mechanically sound enough to run. It's also easier for the transporters to have a running car.

Brakes work also. rotors are in good shape.... well enough to stop my Duramax.. It is my son's car so I can't speak for exactly what he will take for it. He did have a couple of guys stop by last week and offered up $1800.. I think he's pretty set with 2K.. The more i look at this thing the more I want to do the restore. Any one reasonably close have a decent interior for this thing?

I'm fairly new to Fuselage car, but I know all about the difficulties of finding parts for classic Mopars.
I'm interested in this car.

How hard is it to find interior parts, since everything is toasted ?
