It has a '70 grille but a '71 dash, hence the "?". Guessing the grille was changed.

The description:

1971 Dodge Polara Custom. This car belonged to my Dad, he drove it for 39 yrs. He was an LA City Fireman. The car has many custom extras; balanced and blueprinted, 360 cubic inch motor, external transmission cooler and transmission oil pan cooler.

Interior is original with no rips or tears. Newer, wide tires, brakes recently overhauled. The car has been meticulously maintained. Runs excellent, purrs like a kitten, all tuned-up and ready for a cannonball run to New York!

Yep, mostly in Dodge and Plymouth police cars. Newport's also has the new 360 engine option available in 1971. Challenger and Cuda had a 360 option in 1974 only.

NOt until later years was it "mostly" used in police cars. It was "mostly" used in Polaras , Newports and Furys, family cars, not police cars

E57 360 2bbl's were used starting in 1971. The E58 4 bbl engines weren't available in 1971.
