Chassis is in good condition and straight, no rust through anywhere and no cracks.
$250 would prefer pickup.

Well! That’s that.. thanks John
Read through the thread before you say no. My 70 vert has a 71 stub frame. I think you would just have to drill a couple holes in the floor for the rear mounts and use solid mounts rather than rubber mounts.

It can be made to fit yes with very little modification. I will check today but I think the rear mount hole for this subframe is already in your body. the front mounts will be the same if you use the rubber isolators. Then you just need to use a radiator mount to suit this frame as well, which I have. Will let you know later today.

No worries.. just looking at options for that 70 Newport. I like it, but it may be more than I can chew to repair. Thoughts and opinions are welcomed.
I checked on a 1970 model I have here and while the hole in the floor pan doesn't show other than the round imprint next to the rear mount hole for the seat rail, below it in the chassis the mount is there for the rear mount of the full length chassis with rubber isolators. All that needs to be done is use a hole saw on the floor to expose the mount underneath and you are good to go. No other modifications are necessary.
So with that in mind, all you need do is make sure you have a full set of isolators, the chassis and a radiator support panel to suit that chassis, plus two floor plugs. I have all these pieces and can sell them to you as a package deal for $300.

I’ll pm u.

I still have mine as well. When I needed one, they were no where to be found, now you can't help but hit one with a rock in any direction. Must be all the '73's getting parted. Mine is going to scrap at the end of the summer if the black car doesn't need it.
