1971 Chrysler Town and Country Wagon. Original 383 engine with two barrel carburetor. Car has been sitting for over ten years.

Is that rear axle buried PAST the hub center??? Damn! Gotta wonder that if a guy dug this out and hooked a chain to it, would it pull the crossmember completely out?

LOTS of good trim, glass, and underhood on this. If a guy were restoring one, it might well bring $2K from that guy. It's too crusty for derby work, thankfully.

Not necessarily... My 73 Coronet came from the same region and had sat from 2007. Looked hopeless outside (rear quarters, the bottoms of front fenders, vinyl top almost gone...) but needed very little in the end. Rust free underneath and trunk, who would have guessed! Not me, it was a very pleasent surprise...
 
The hood is barely there....I believe the rust is extensive through out this wagon.

sure it always could be.
But sitting so low &deep in the mud means it is sitting since a long time.
Resulting in not old rust from the salt on the road but from sitting in wet mud
