Looking for some input from those who have done it. I ordered a set of Clevite 77 MS-2233HG bearings and according to 440Source these fit any year RB block. When I compare these to the main bearings I removed, these are more narrow.

I read that narrow bearings are often used with aftermarket cranks but will these work in a stock application with a stock crank?

Thank you, really eager to get this block back together!

Main thing is that the locating tangs are correctly indexed in the caps and such. Which also means the correct diamter.

There are two different sizes of thrust bearings. I don't know what year they changed. The smaller diameter flange will fit any RB block but the larger diameter will only fit on the blocks machined for the larger diameter. Just make certain that the thrust bearing fits your engine.
