1972 Chrysler Imperial LE Baron
440 ci engine with Holley 600 carb, 727 Automatic Transmission, Powersteering & brakes, Power windows, locks and seats. Air conditioning, cruise control AM FM Stereo Radio, Rear window defroster, green cloth interior with rips or tears with arm rests. Runs excellent, 129,220 miles Engine was completely rebuilt in January 2009 with all receipts and indepth journal, 11,000 miles has been put on the car since the rebuild. Carb was rebulit recently and water pump replaced. This car starts easily and drives great. All things work except the ac (needs recharging), and powerlock switch on the drivers door is inoperable, rust around the back window and some surface rust under the vinyl top. Could use a set of tires (8 years old), also windshield has a 6 inch crack on lower drivers side. This car has all original equipment with lots of extra misc parts.
Any questions call or text Howard (770) 815-8379.

A nice looking Imp. I'm considering putting a bid on this one. I'm concerned about the rust around the the front and rear windows. Are new windshields available? I do like the interior.

Yeah, the rust around the windows is a common thing, esp. the rear with that Le Baron small window "plug" for lack of a better term . My old 70' Imp was a LeBaron also and I guess I was lucky as hell that the trunk wasn't destroyed in that car because there was no leaking around the rear window. Big time problem rust area there. I got a nice, brand new windshield for my Newport going on two yrs ago now, the original had 5 or 6 inch spider crack going vertically down the pass side, so C body window yes....BUT don't know about the Imperial though. I would think it is the same front windshield as the other c bodies 69-70 and up.

I hope so. I need and can't find a windshield for my 78 NY'er. They don't manufacture them anymore for a formal. Mine isn't broken or craacked, looks like someone rode a sled down it a dozen times. About a dozen 3/16" vertical lines etched in the glass. Very annoying when driving at night.

This may sound extreme and way out there but have you ever thought of calling around to mopar dealership serv dept.s for that particular windshield? I got the Chrysler Parts/Mopar sign hanging in my garage from my friend----who's grandfather owned a Chrysler/Plymouth dealership before he left the business. The sign came out of one of the service bays...anyway the story he told me when he got it for me was the business was closing up shop and selling/giving away/auctioning and/or trashing furniture, tools AND loads of dusty, old NOS parts. Sounds like a long shot I know, but if you've tried everything else with no luck what do you have to loose?

I've tried the closest 10 dealers and even asked them to search the part number. No luck.

You have to use the Hollanders interchange number and call the most customer service intensive shop you can find.
One comes up on ebay every six months. He's metering them out with an eyedropper and I can't blame him. I have a spare and no amt. of money will pry that one out of my hands.

Thanks Stan, I'll try that.

Yep, that car is spotless everywhere. A true turn key car. All I have to do is put gas in it.

He still wants too much for it, actually he wants crazy money. The highest bid was barely one third of his reserve. It's in storage in his airplane hangar right now. I believe he's going to try to sell it one more time this spring/summer. I'll offer him $500 over the highest bid and I'm sure he'll sell it to me this time.
