Thanks for the ad guys
I just recently purchased a 1972 Newport Sedan
I'm new to the Chrysler scene so alot of this is all new
The car itself came out of New York and someone has given it a bit of love prior to arriving in Australia
She is running a 400ci B block with a Wiend Manifold and Edelbrock 4 bbl carby
Seems I need a few things though
Lower right hand ball joint
Upper and lower control arm bushes
Steering wheel
Trans mount
I've lower the front a bit, getting a decent radio installed
Need to locate a vacuum advance unit for the original Distributer

I have driven it a bit since buying it and love its presence on the road and its endless amount of torque
Any advice you guys may have will be welcomed with open armsView attachment 66941 IMG_1955.jpgIMG_1959.jpgIMG_2051.jpg

Hey Jono, another lovely car for Victoria. Can't comment about back home in OZ (am in Vancouver BC now) but I have used a guy in Ohio named Murray B. Park who has a wide selection of Chrysler parts and could likely advise who else to try if he doesn't have your item/s.

John from Adelaide (1973 Imperial LeBaron (Wisconsin))

Thanks for that

Well she is in at the mechanic for the next few days getting some loving
Upper and lower control arm bushes replaced
Lower RHS ball joint replaced
1" lowering block fitted
Rear brake cylinders replaced
new plugs leads and a quick tune up plus an alignment and we all should be good to go
Major modifications so far are
1/ Mexican rugs set up as seat covers
2/ Installed 1/2 Moon chrome headlight covers
3/ Installed new Radio and speakers
4/ Got all the interior lights to work
5/ Placed some sound deadening mats in the trunk
6/ Most importantly I have the fluffy dice hanging of the rear view mirror, nodding Scooby Doo on the rear parcel shelve and the dancing Hula Girl on the front dash

Still planned
New dual exhaust system

Ah, with Hula Girl, Scooby Doo and Fluffy Dice you're good to go. As for the exhaust, I had a local specialist install a stainless system on my Lincoln Town Coupe and it sounds great.

The guy has the local Carline franchise, but find someone who knows their stuff and it'll be great.

Best wishes with it.

Thanks guys
The Exhaust is now done
Front end has been rebuilt
Rear springs are being reset a few inches lower late this week
proper tune booked in for next week
and then next is to start work on the interior
In the mean time we are out and about cruising in it and enjoying life

Happy now with how the car sits and just installed and old school tacho, final tune happening on Thursday.
Ordered a new roof lining, trying to get some custom seat covers made up.
Its all coming together
