Wish sellers would take the time to post minimum of 8 pics...and get a lost title issue rectified (duplicate at DMV).

It runs, drives and stops, and it's in good shape - what else do you think you need to know before you buy it??? :poke:

I emailed and got nothing (yet) ...if the interior looks as tidy as his backyard then I think I will pass.

How about where the title is?
That's a lot of coin to be asking for a car with no title... just sayin'

This one out of Georgia I was so close to getting but passed on early this year because seller could not produce title...made me a little nervous and can be quite the hassle to get straightened out here in MN with our DMV...even if everything is legit. Turned out pretty good for me when Big Red popped up on Hemmings a little later for sale.

This car has a decent interior, but major rust issues as in a lot of metal work! The guy told me he sold it to a guy down the road a week ago and low and behold it's still for sale! When I acted like I knew what I was talking about, that is when he emailed me about the car being sold! My opinion: A great parts car or if you want to spend big bucks to restore..... I'd go $1200!

It looks to be problematic
Usually following my gut is best when buying a vehicle...and then there's those times where you know the car's a misfit and has issues...But, you make it work...fix the problems and enjoy the process...however I prefer to stay away from the no title, bent frame, major rusty, oil burners, etc...

Same here. Within seconds of seeing my sigpic car I knew I was going to buy it, and 20 years later I still have it. Others that I've bought for some other 'calculated' reason, not my gut, usually turn out to be a hassle.

I wonder how may of these lost-title cars are being sold by folks who legitimately bought the car, but maybe never titled it in their name for some reason, so they know they can't just go to the DMV to get a replacement. That would suck.

Just an update...seller did get back to me this morning...check out pics...he said there is a deal for it's sale...going to Kentucky...said he would follow up if deal falls apart. It's too rusty for me but thought I'd share. Sad to see it decayed in the body. Otherwise, nice.

Nice shape.
Sorry, not if there's enough rust for a fender skirt to be falling off.
To me, 'nice shape' means nice shape all over.

I can understand why people leave the fast-food trash in the car. If you don't know what you're doing, it could take as much as 15 seconds to get rid of it

I was thinking the same thing...But, with the single original pic: a)close the hood b)get the car out of the shadow c)photograph with a pleasant or clean background.:realcrazy::realcrazy::realcrazy:

Hey Doc, you don't need a title in MAN, you just need to get the hell out of the cities and their holier than thou DMV workers. Outside the suburban ring they are much nicer and easier to deal with. As long as you have a name of the last previous owner you can get one. The Excelsior DMV screwed up EVERY title I had them transfer. Some didn't go into the system, others they kept the POs name on the new title, etc. I went to the Cokato office and never had an issue and got plenty of titles for cars the owners didn't have them. I know I cited cities well away from you, but you get the point.

Good to know...i'm a city boy...I will travel the highway and do whatever it takes to get another clean Imperial...except fly...I don't fly anymore.

I flew Spirit Air to get some parts for my Dart, the most turbulent flight I've ever been on, and I fell asleep shortly after we got above the clouds. Woke up minutes before landing, got to see the skyline of Atlanta and then touchdown. I'm trying to figure out if I'm going on another Spirit Air flight to Florida. If you ever choose this "Greyhound of the skies" make sure you spend the money for the "Big seat", it's their version of a first class seat - in terms of width. They make no mistake they provide a ride and that's all you get for your money. ANYTHING else costs money. But I was there in just over 3 hours.

Parts car!
I agree...But, I could never buy it and send an Imperial carcass to the salvage yard after I picked it apart...it's like when I buy ground beef...I can't look the cow in the eye...I would try to save it and spend a lot of $$$...
