This orange hardtop lasted less than a week on CL. I doubt that the paint is original -- the peeling paint in the trunk pic suggests that this car was originally GY4, like Buttercup. Here is the CL ad and photos for records:

"1972 Chrysler Newport Royal, 2 door, V-8, 89,536 miles. This car was from Tennessee. Car runs great, good fun project. Asking $5,900.00 OBO as is. If this speaks to you please call (586) 722-4741. CAR IS SOLD"

Definitely not orig paint. But I would love to paint the hood flat black slap on a go wing some air shocks and a big b&m shifter.

I would post pics of it every day. Even if I converted it to stock and sold it I still claim I had it and bring it up in every thread for at least a year.
But then again maybe somebody in the euro C body mafia will do exactly that!!??
Or Florida!

Oh to dream...

LOT of orange with no black to break it up... And orange is my favorite color!

hahahahaha. I like that way of thinking. Don't hear that often. I post pics of mine as often as I can.
Just to tick off the purists. Mostly, I peel the tires out around town.

I love the RT logo written with a black sharpy ... Adds at least 5hp

It says newport on the side of the drivers and passengers fender.
Looks like little stickers from the font. Definitely adds to the coolness factor.......
