At 600 bucks, I'd murder it out into a midnite black badazz machine and not worry about originality.
I would hope you'd have no worries to keep that one original. Maybe a cherry 5th Ave edition, but not that one. Although maybe one day we'll have regrets about the R-bodies that we didn't save???

As years go on and on, invariably even the most insignificant and least noteworthy R models can be argued that they should be saved.
As of Nov. 2016, there's no tears to be shed for doing this one My Way. It would be doing it a favor, in fact.

Look at it. Why would you sink a ton of money into this to restore?

That brown one is awesome, Stan. Yes, you'd be doing most any R-body a favor to do that. (except for un-doing a really nice 5th as I mentioned earlier)

I wouldn't tamper with a nice looking car. Regardless of Make or Model.
That $600 NY is eventually going to get thrashed and trashed unless someone saves it to do something unique with it.
I guess what I'm trying to say is, Save an unwanted car by making it desireable.
R-body Lives Matter
