We're down to our bottom price. Take the opportunity
to own a piece of the 70s. A car just like this was noted
as the 1,000,000th Chrysler. Check the vin.

Not your average bear one-owner family car with complete
documentation through service records. This car is showroom
condition and is available for first time since 1973 when the
owner's father bought it and when he didn't fit the 22' long
Newport he turned it over to his son and the son has driven
it since. Until now. Here's your chance for a one-of-a-kind car.

That's a great deal and looks like it's in great shape. Stan's on it.

:waiting:........... well??

I hope you got it! I feel like the only one with a '73. lol

I did enjoy seeing all these '73s posted in the for sale section recently. Only one 2 door though....

Well, how long does it take to buy a damn car & post up some pictures of it?

ha ha ha....
Just got back home. Without the car.
Needed trunk and floor pans. Rockers and lower rear quarters all bondo.
Krylon silver spray paint on all the chrome. All the rubber dried out. Spent most of it's life in Mass.
Reupholsted 1/2 done. Rust around rear window. Shall I go on?
Five hours of my life I'll never get back...

bluesmoderby time

Didn't the guy tell you that on the phone? Or he was less than honest?

Of course I asked all the right question. His answers:

"Rust-free..."
"56k miles" (156...)
"original interior looks like brand new..."

He got very annoyed with me as I kept peeling back more and more scale and seeing daylight.
Said I won't find a more rust-free 73 anywhere...

Reminds me of when I bought my Cutlass back in '93. I was dealing with the brother of the original owner, a lady who was suffering from dementia and was no longer able to handle her affairs. The car was pretty solid but if you can picture the rear end of a '68 Cutlass, the bumper ends are seemingly designed to collect snow and slush up here in the salt belt and of course it had rusted. Some genius had bondoed it up and then sprayed over the entire mess with black undercoat.

Me: "It needs a bumper I see."

Seller: "No, that's rubber."

I ended up talking him down to a decent price and when I took off the bumper once I had secured a replacement the thing was like swiss cheese. Tossed it into the dumpster.
