(1982) Years ago a friend had a Dumpster green 58 Chevy Delray with a 6. He pulled the 6 and put in a 348 with 3 2's. He cut a 2'x2' hole in the hood and placed a green piece of glass in the hole. Under the hood were subtle green lights, I thought it was awesome. So much so I put amber lights under the hood of my parents brown dodge. I then installed low voltage lights under the dash, front seat, in the wheel wells, on the under carriage and over the drive shaft on the transmission hump. When the car went down the road it looked like it was on fire and people LIKED IT. The inside had a nice ambiance, enough to see the floor but wasnt too bright to distract.

Fast forward 15 years and its all the rage, fluorescent and runway lights everywhere...... Now its gay.

Define people.......Stan, I was a kid then, 15 -22 when I was involved with that car. So the compliments varied from high school kids to the truckers on the C.B radio. Neighbors, people in other cars at traffic lights.....you name it and most comments were positive.
